Done, done and I'm on to the next one

Okay this is for everyone who WANTS to know how to listen to online MP3 radio, but doesn't know how.

In case you have been living under a digital rock for the past 8 years, digital radio has been a furiously growing and free source for free tunes. The funny part about this is that it's not hard to host one of these stations. Also it is free and personalized in a way that each DJ can host his own playlist of mp3 files from his own computer. This makes it incredibly easy for someone to pretend to be a DJ on the internet.

Now taking what you now know, I will introduce the system and how it works. Normally on a radio station is hosted at certain parts of a city based on location of their radio transmitter. In the case of "Shoutcast" there is no need for the large radio transmitter ( Mucho $$ for these btw ) as the transmissions are all done through the internet.

What this does is provide a stable media for online DJ's to "strut their stuff" so to speak. With no overhead costs and no risk of being taken off the air, DJ's are being encouraged to provide all sorts of digital media on thousands of stations around the world.

I encourage anyone who doesn't want to fill their hard-drives with dubious amounts of mp3's to use this system as it is truly a great invention.

Check it out here for all your radio needs.

Okay so on to how it works now.

Basically you have to have two things:

Computer with Internet connection.

Now that we have these two programs. You can open the internet explorer window to that shoutcast link I gave you earlier. or click here and proceed to enter search criteria ( example: Foo fighters ) and click "Search".

From here all you have to do is click the little button.

If you have any problems, simply email THEM hahahaha.
